Celtic Star Luis Palma Drops Transfer Hint As He Makes Surprise Kyogo Furuhashi Admission

Celtic star Luis Palma drops transfer hint as he makes surprise Kyogo Furuhashi admission

The Honduran winger has been restricted to just three substitute appearances since joining Ange Postecoglou's side in the summer

Celtic winger Luis Palma has admitted he is happy to play second fiddle to Kyogo Furuhashi at Celtic. The summer signing from Vida is still awaiting his first start for the Hoops since making the switch to Glasgow.

He has, however, impressed when given the chance off the bench with his pace and trickery causing problems for opposition defences.

Palma's comments suggest he is willing to be patient for his opportunity at Celtic

Palma has been linked with a move away from Celtic in recent weeks, with clubs in Mexico and the MLS reportedly interested in his services. However, the 22-year-old insists he is happy in Glasgow and is determined to fight for his place in the team.

“I’m very happy here,” said Palma. “I’m learning a lot from the manager and the players. I’m just trying to improve every day and help the team win games.”

Palma also heaped praise on Kyogo, who has been in superb form for Celtic this season. The Japanese striker has scored 20 goals in all competitions and has been a key player in the Hoops’ success.

“Kyogo is a great player,” said Palma. “He’s so quick and he has a great eye for goal. I’m learning a lot from him every day.”

Palma’s comments suggest he is willing to be patient for his opportunity at Celtic. He knows that he has a lot to learn and he is determined to improve his game under the guidance of Postecoglou.

If he continues to impress when given the chance, then he could force his way into the Celtic team on a more regular basis in the second half of the season.
